modplot
In October 2024, modplot was created with the idea that everyone can drastically improve their lives through small lifestyle changes. Today’s world stimulates our brains and takes advantages of our desires, but stepping back — thinking about each subconscious and conscious decision we make — provides the unique opportunity to reimagine ourselves as individuals. As Dr. Alok “Dr. K” Kanojia, a licensed psychiatrist in the US, has said on his mental-health-based YouTube channel, we must destroy our current self-image to build a new sense of self. He has amassed more than 2.6 million subscribers as of January 2025 and provides courses targeted at common mental health issues. You can find more content about managing mental health in a digital world on his website, healthygamer.gg.
The subjects included on this website encapsulate what we view as the most important aspects of life to facilitate positive change: physical health, mental health, and enrichment.
Physical Health
Studies show increased physical activity and physical health improve cognitive function and quality of life (1) (2). It also helps decrease likelihood of addiction and mental illness (3). We hope to build more complete members of society such that physical and mental health are no longer limiting factors in our daily lives. Check out our workout programs and more information about physical health on our dedicated page!
Mental Health
Some still see mental health as an overcomplication of the human brain. However, mental health is recognized more than ever before. While we currently have limited information on exclusively mental health, we are committed to providing up-to-date and relevant data supported by recent studies.
Enrichment
Whether it’s time spent socializing, learning an instrument, or mastering your craft, enrichment prevents mental health issues. Listening to music has shown to decrease stress hormones (4) and create a sense of community. Endorphin synthesization, the creation of positive hormones released by the brain, speeds up when singing with other people (5).
Philosophers argue that artistic expression is one of the best ways to learn more about yourself. Whether it be music, painting, sculpting, acting, the creation of art leads to a better understanding of self (6).
Look out for a piano course coming soon!
